He reigns in our victory

We belong to different teams, we may have different religions but every January 2-4 we gather as one! The Gathering 2014! Next time sama ka!

3 days and 2 nights at Caliraya Resort Club. We joined the annual retreat of our team to start our year right with our almighty.

God gifts us with abilities. He also intends for us to use all of our abilities on behalf of others, not solely for our own gain.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Acts 20:35

We are also told to “consider others better then yourselves.

For he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life jto complete what was lacking in your service to me.

Philippians 2:30

This focus on serving others, seen in Christ Himself, is reflected in the frequent use of the word, “give” and is a general principle of Scripture. The contrast to a focus on giving is a focus on getting, also called “greed” or “covetousness.” As Christians, our life focus on giving should also be reflected in our chosen occupation in which we seek to give to others through our work. It is true that our employers should reasonably compensate us for our labor, but our primary focus should not be on what we receive.

And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for gthe laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house.

Luke 10:7

As with any business/financial venture, the Christian’s first responsibility is to obey the Lord’s command that we love one another and Paul’s admonition to “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

John 13:34

but in humility consider others better than yourselves”.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

Philippians 2:3
