I’ve been busy for the past month and never done anything to have on my blog, but I’m back. I guess. 😉
Last Sunday, I dragged my girlfriend to an American-Chinese restaurant. The thing is, she is not a fan of a Chinese food. As if she has a choice — it’s my birthday. 🙂
The Egg Drop Cup.
The appetizer. This is not your ordinary appetizer or your ordinary instant Knorr or Maggi soup. Not a chance! I can feel the dedication of the chef and his passion and love for cooking. I over-exaggerated that part but it’s worth it. 😀
The Lemon Chicken with Extra Lemon Sauce.
A perfectly well-balanced dish compared to other Lemon Chicken dishes that I’ve tasted. Now, the extra cup of Lemon sauce is just an addition if you’re not satisfied or you’re looking for something that would suit your taste buds.
The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce.
I’m fed up with eating chicken and I’m craving seafood, particularly shrimp. A Shrimp with Lobster sauce then with an egg, BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK! Oh, I’m low blood, I’m safe! Actually, shrimp doesn’t cause high blood. It has a higher ratio of omega-3:omega-6 which is associated with decreased risk of many chronic diseases—including obesity, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes. This aspect of shrimp’s fat content is a huge plus. That’s why it is one of my favorite seafood.
And about the meal, MAMAMIA!
The Mango Peach Mint and Red Berries Mint Smoothies.
This one is a bit of a weird experience because of the Mint. Upon drinking the smoothie, you feel the mint up to your nostrils then drawing a line down to your esophagus. My first time to have a Mint on my drink but this is better than having a Mentos Air because the preparation is all natural.
PRICE. Well, this is a fine dining restaurant. So expect a Php 200 – Php 1000 meal but the serving size is good for 3-4 persons.
Overall, it was great, totally great. Next time, we will bring the gang for more meals to try. 😀
